Ford Transit dimensions for your campervan layout

A Transit L3H2 FWD and an L3H2 RWD/AWD have the same listed cargo length but different floor-to-roof height. Check the full body code and drivetrain on the vehicle you are planning, rather than selecting a reference by its wheelbase description alone. Transit Custom is a separate vehicle and is not represented by these rows.

The L4H3 reference shares the L3 wheelbase while extending the rear body. Space behind the rear axle therefore changes differently from a wheelbase change. Keep arch position and the rear storage arrangement visible when comparing them.

Try a lengthways bed and a kitchen beside the side entrance before filling the remaining space with cabinets. Draw an extending bed in its sleeping state as well as its daytime state, and check the space needed to use the door and reach under-bed equipment.

Set floor, roof and wall build-ups in the guided planner before refining furniture. The nominal maximum width is not a finished bed span at every height. Measure the intended mattress height, upper cupboard corners and each wheel arch on your own van.
