Peugeot Boxer internal dimensions at a glance

Nominal unlined cargo measurements from Peugeot's UK November 2022 MY2023 specification. Match the body code and source edition to your van.

How wide is it inside?

1,870 mm maximum cargo width, with 1,422 mm clear between the wheel arches. The width at bed or cupboard height needs measuring separately.

How long is the cargo area?

  • L2: 3,120 mm floor length
  • L3: 3,705 mm floor length
  • L4: 4,070 mm floor length

How high is it inside?

  • H1: 1,662 mm maximum cargo height
  • H2: 1,932 mm maximum cargo height
  • H3: 2,172 mm maximum cargo height

Floor and roof build-ups reduce finished headroom.

These are internal load-space dimensions. They do not give the vehicle's exterior length, overall height or width with mirrors. Maximum width, floor length and height do not describe an unobstructed rectangular room.

Compare the supported body sizes

All dimensions below are in millimetres. Cargo widths and heights are published maxima for an unconverted reference, before insulation, lining or furniture. Match the body, drivetrain and source edition to your vehicle.

On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways to compare every measurement. The side-door column gives the nominal opening width × height, rather than its position along the van.

Compare L2, L3 and L4 by where the extra space sits

L2 and L3 use different wheelbases. L3 and L4 share a wheelbase, with L4 adding rear overhang. When comparing layouts, check the axle, arches, under-bed volume and rear access together instead of scaling a short design uniformly along its length.

A permanent bed can reserve an equipment or storage area beneath it. An extending bed can return some daytime floor area, but it needs space to deploy and somewhere for bedding or infill parts. Model both states before comparing how open the interior feels.

Plan the entrance before filling the front corner

Place a kitchen or tall cabinet with the side door visible, then check stepping inside, opening storage and reaching controls. The height of an H3 cargo area is different from the side-door opening height. Check large appliances and furniture against the real entry route before building them outside the van.

Choose wall, roof and floor build-ups in the guided planner before refining cabinets. Electrical and water equipment can then be placed in separate layers with the same furniture arrangement still visible.

Use Peugeot's dimensions and your own measured details

The Boxer table has its own Peugeot source rather than inheriting every figure from the Ducato. Shared cargo dimensions do not guarantee identical exterior heights, trim or fittings. Verify wheel-arch covers, upper-wall clearance and the finished surfaces on your vehicle before relying on a closely fitted cutout.

Before you begin

A few useful answers.

Which Boxer reference is the longest and highest listed?

L4H3 is the longest, highest-roof combination included in this sourced set. Its nominal cargo area is 4,070 mm long, up to 1,870 mm wide and 2,172 mm high. Those maxima do not describe an unobstructed rectangular finished room.

Can I start from a Ducato layout when planning a Boxer?

You can explore a similar arrangement, but choose the Boxer body-size reference and verify it against your van. Keep the source edition, openings, wheel arches, trim and proposed lining visible rather than assuming every shared-platform detail is identical.
