Renault Master IV conversion planning
Renault Master IV dimensions for L2H2, L3H2 and L3H3
These three diesel FWD single-wheel panel-van references retain Renault Switzerland's January 2026 edition 8.0 dimensional set. Match the generation, country and publication before using them for your conversion; they are not universal UK Master dimensions.
Compare the supported body sizes
All dimensions below are in millimetres. Cargo widths and heights are published maxima for an unconverted reference, before insulation, lining or furniture. Match the body, drivetrain and source edition to your vehicle.
On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways to compare every measurement. The side-door column gives the nominal opening width × height, rather than its position along the van.

The editable wall and roof contours, wheel-arch shapes and door positions are reconstructed planning estimates. These references are not manufacturer CAD or a measured survey of your van. Check the actual vehicle before cutting or ordering parts.
- The recorded Swiss edition lists L3 floor length as 3,857 mm and H3 internal height as 2,119 mm. Other market editions can differ; the planner keeps this source set together rather than silently blending figures.
- At 1 m above the floor, the recorded cargo lengths are 3,004 mm for L2 and 3,634 mm for L3. The longer floor value is not a clear rectangular length at every height.
- These references exclude earlier Master generations, RWD/twin-wheel, crew and electric derivatives unless separately represented. They do not establish current vehicle availability.
- The planner uses a generic editable wall and roof profile, with estimated wheel-arch positions, lengths and heights. These are not traced manufacturer contours, body-rib maps or measurements of your vehicle.
- Renault's rolling source URL served a newer May 2026 edition when checked on 3 November 2026. Its dimension table agreed with the values shown here; the editor's recorded January source label is retained.
Compare length and roof as separate decisions
Moving from the listed L2H2 to L3H2 adds 632 mm of nominal cargo-floor length. L3H2 and L3H3 keep the same length and wheelbase, with different internal heights. Compare the floor arrangement first, then allow for your floor and roof materials before checking the height above a bed or inside a tall storage unit.
Place the largest bed, storage and equipment envelopes early. Reserve the route from the sliding door into the living area and consider the full day-to-night changeover, including where bedding and removable pieces will be kept.
Keep the source edition with your measurements
L2/L3 and H2/H3 labels are useful only alongside the generation and dimensional source. The maximum width of 1,789 mm does not prove a transverse mattress fits between finished walls at the intended height. Record repeated widths and the actual floor, arches and doors before committing to a close fit.
The shorter published upper length gives the editor an estimated front return, using a simple transition. It is useful for showing that floor and upper space differ, but it does not trace the real bulkhead, ribs or cab interface. Check those details on the actual vehicle.
Plan the equipment with the furniture
Place batteries, tanks and the selected equipment alongside cabinets and beds, then inspect the space for connectors and service access. Layer transparency lets you review cable and pipe routes without removing the furniture from the plan.
Use the generic reference as a starting envelope, then adjust it to measured finished surfaces. Paid planning downloads retain their assumptions and exclusions; an editable model or panel outline does not certify the fit or approve an installation.

Before you begin
A few useful answers.
Are these Renault Master dimensions for every UK van?
No. They retain a named Swiss January 2026 source for Master IV diesel FWD single-wheel panel vans. Confirm the exact market, generation and actual vehicle; do not treat the table as a universal UK specification.
Does the Master IV H3 reference have a taller side door?
The included H2 and H3 references both list a 1,753 mm side-door opening height in this source set. More cargo height does not mean the loading aperture increases by the same amount.
